The said program is supported by Penang Crisis Relief Squad MCA and conducted at Malaysia Civil Defence Department (JPAM), Butterworth Bagan Jermal centre (opposite Butterworth Court).
According to MCA Bagan Youth Chief Dickson Seow, the said program focuses on providing general public with the basic skills and knowledge in emergency responses, including firefighting, water safety and rescue. With such skills, in the event of an incident, the participants would be able to effectively respond and enact a rescue thereby increase the chance of survival until the emergency service arrives.
The said program will be conducted from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Refreshment and meal will be served. JPAM will issue certificate of completion for the participants.
Participants who complete the said program could apply to become members of JPAM, receive professional intensive training and enjoy special allowance thereafter.
